Wow! You got your wish! You switched places with your parents. As a parent, you know how dangerous the Internet can be. You are concerned with how safe it is for your child. You have volunteered to learn about ways to use the Internet safely.

So What’s the Deal?

The parents are very concerned about their children using the Internet. The committee has raised the following concerns:
  1. Dealing with stalkers and people who might lure your child into contacting them.
  2. Identity or credit card theft.
  3. Hateful e-mail messages or web sites.
  4. How should a parent talk with their children about using the Internet?
  5. Where and how to report Internet crime?
  6. What is filtering software and is it necessary? What does our school use?
  7. Are there games or activities online to help children understand about Internet safety?
  8. What are other dangers dealing with using the Internet?

So you have volunteered to research Internet Safety. You are now ready to get started.
  1. First find the appropriate information on ways of how to use the Internet safely.
  2. Then design and develope a PowerPoint presentation. (Use Photoshop and Cool Text to add dazzel to your project)
  3. You may be asked to present the slide show to the class.
  4. Here are your responsibilities:
    Research to find information about Internet Safety. Organize the information. Create the PowerPoint presentation. You may use Photoshop and Cool Text to make great graphics. Don’t use pictures or clip art that are blurry.

Your Presentation

The PowerPoint presentation must include the following:

      1. A minimum of 10 slides that includes a title page
      2. Each slide contains at least one graphic or image
      3. There are at least two different types of slide transitions
      4. Animated text or images/clip art
      5. There are hyperlinks to some good resources on the Internet or hyperlinks within the slide presentation
      6. Appropriate information presented
